Job Summary

The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, monitoring, and mobility. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled communicators who thrive in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities
  • Perform receptionist and communications duties
  • Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups
  • Utilize independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills
  • Collaborate with Clinical Director and/or RN for optimal care delivery and patient services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of an approved Unit Secretary vocational training course or currently enrolled in clinical education program
  • Previous patient care experience of one (1) year or equivalent clerical experience of one (1) year in a medical setting
