Job Summary

As a Tractor Driver - 16 Tire Lowbed Specialist at Holt of California, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment from one location to another. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepares and provides documentation for the delivery or pick-up of equipment, including pre-trip and daily logs, to BIT guidelines
Operates vehicle in accordance with DOT Federal and State regulations
Loads and unloads equipment using securement equipment such as chains and binders
Receives daily schedule from dispatcher and delivers equipment within established time frames
Performs light maintenance and upkeep of truck, notifies supervisor when more extensive repairs are required
Has customers sign rental agreements on deliveries, noting any damage to equipment

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
1-2 years of equipment experience and/or training
Valid Class A driver's license and clean DMV record
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write service reports and effectively present information to customers and employees

Work Environment

The work environment centers around the tractor/trailer and driving on roads, streets, highways, and interstates within the state. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, with occasional loud noises.
