Job Overview

Holt of California is seeking a skilled Tractor Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a diesel-powered tractor-trailer to transport heavy equipment, ensuring safe loading and unloading procedures.
  • Prepare and provide necessary documentation for equipment delivery or pickup, including pre-trip and daily logs.
  • Comply with DOT Federal and State regulations, as well as company safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as fueling, greasing, and cleaning the truck.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers to receive daily schedules and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Interact with customers to obtain rental agreements and document any equipment damage.
  • Recognize and report any abnormal equipment operating conditions or unsafe working conditions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one to two years of equipment experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid Class A driver's license and a clean DMV record.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
