Holt of California is a leading Caterpillar dealer, offering a wide range of equipment and services. We are seeking a skilled Driver - 16 Tire Lowbed to join our team.

Job Summary

As a Driver - 16 Tire Lowbed, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment on a diesel-powered tractor-trailer. Your primary function will be to load and secure equipment for transport, ensuring timely delivery and safe operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and provide documentation for equipment delivery or pickup, including pre-trip and daily logs.
  • Operate the vehicle in accordance with DOT Federal and State regulations.
  • Load and unload equipment using securement equipment such as chains and binders.
  • Receive daily schedules from dispatchers and deliver equipment within established time frames.
  • Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the truck, notifying supervisors of any necessary repairs.
  • Document customer signatures on rental agreements and report any damage to equipment.
  • Recognize and report any abnormal equipment operating conditions or unsafe working conditions.
Requirements
  • High school or GED and/or one to two years of equipment experience and/or training.
  • Valid Class A driver's license and a clean DMV record.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write service reports and effectively present information to customers and employees.
