Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at NYU Langone South Shore Neurologic Associates in Patchogue. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians and Advanced Care Practitioners in providing patient care, including validating patient identifiers, preparing patients and rooms for examination, measuring and recording vital signs, drawing blood, and collecting other lab samples.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and performing data entry.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, clean and stock exam rooms, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Support quality initiatives by following FGP guidelines for collecting and documenting information in the EMR.
- Promote a positive patient experience by communicating effectively with providers and administrative staff, escalating issues as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution or current medical assistant certification from a nationally recognized accredited institution preferred.
- Working knowledge of English and computer skills required; other language an asset.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment.
