Medical Assistant

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Medical Assistant - Wound Care to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses in the care of patients and families by completing assigned patient care tasks.
- Provide competent, safe, and compassionate care with emphasis on an understanding of the challenges faced by hospitalization, undergoing procedures or diagnostic tests.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, including spills, and ensure exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient leaves.
- Stock exam rooms with medical supplies, linen, and designated chart forms.
- Assist with training of new Medical Assistants and perform administrative responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent required.
- Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
- Basic knowledge of computers required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of EPIC Ambulatory preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $60,206.57 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
