Trillium Staffing is seeking a Field Project Engineer to join our team and contribute to a significant Water Waste Treatment Facility initiative.


This position offers a long-term, full-time opportunity with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in overseeing daily technical operations necessary for the successful execution of construction projects, particularly focusing on mechanical and electrical scopes of work while coordinating multiple subcontractors.
  • Ensure adherence to job controls that align with technical specifications, contractual obligations, budgetary constraints, schedules, and BIM coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance in construction planning, quality assurance, design interpretation, application of construction methodologies, and resolution of design conflicts to facilitate successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare daily logs, technical design submissions, essential reports, and document inspection and testing results accurately.
  • Monitor the daily performance of craft and trade subcontractors to ensure compliance with technical and contractual standards.
  • Address subcontractor Requests for Information (RFIs) by thoroughly reviewing technical requirements and collaborating with the engineer of record as needed.
  • Evaluate construction subcontractor implementation plans, including project management, procurement, safety, quality, and general methods to identify potential risks.
  • Support the Project Manager in planning assigned projects, which includes establishing baseline costs, schedules, and cash flow projections.
  • Assist the Project Manager with subcontracting strategies, subcontractor development, estimating, procurement, and change management processes.
  • Offer technical interpretation of design documents to support construction managers, superintendents, and contractors, providing expertise for problem-solving initiatives.
