Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at GeoEngineers. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing and delivering complex geotechnical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of field exploration programs and construction observation projects, ensuring that work performed is consistent with project plans and specifications, as well as in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Technical Expertise: Assist with training junior technical and technician staff, complete engineering analyses and calculations, develop moderately complex conceptual models, and complete moderately complex spatial analyses.
  • Reporting and Communication: Lead the generation of technical reports, including completion of routine reports, figures, tables, etc., and assist senior staff in completing portions of large, complex reports, figures, tables, etc.
  • Project Support: Support project management tasks, such as budget planning, general field report reviews, and proposal development, and manage small projects under the supervision of a certified professional engineer or geologist as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree with a Geotechnical Engineering focus strongly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience is required, with at least one year of project management experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: PE license required.
  • Skills: Professional-level verbal and written communication skills are a must, and a valid driver's license is required.
Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities and do heavy work, including exerting up to 50 pounds of force on occasion.
  • Work Environment: Ability to perform consistent work on a PC, and ability to travel for short-term and long-term assignments as needed.
  • Safety: All employees are responsible for conducting their work in a safe manner, including identifying potential safety hazards and reporting them to the designated project manager in a timely manner, and participating in project safety briefings.
Compensation and Benefits

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $84,800 - $114,800. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers' salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year, and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
