Position Overview

New Gig Solutions is seeking a Senior Tax Consultant for a prominent CPA firm. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office and remote responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and evaluation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Engage with clients to collect necessary documentation and information.
  • Analyze tax-related issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Deliver strategic tax planning and review intricate income tax filings.
  • Lead and mentor tax team members to ensure precision in return submissions.
  • Stay updated on tax legislation changes and devise strategies to leverage these developments.
  • Draft and review comprehensive tax memoranda.
  • Address inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Implement robust control measures for all tax-related processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on established procedures and policies.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Accounting/Taxation preferred).
  • 5-8 years of experience in Public Accounting.
  • Proficient in handling individual, closely held business, and pass-through entity tax returns.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, deadlines, and budgets effectively.
  • Solid accounting, analytical, and research capabilities.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and availability for in-person work several days a week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a CPA License.
  • Experience with QuickBooks.
  • Background in managing high net-worth individual and multi-state tax returns.
  • Familiarity with preparing tax returns for exempt organizations.
  • Experience in leading a small team.
