Position Overview

The tax division caters to a diverse clientele, including individuals, corporations, non-profit organizations, trusts, and various other entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Engage with clients to collect necessary documentation.
  • Identify tax challenges and devise effective solutions.
Deliver innovative tax strategies and oversee the review of complex income tax returns.

Supervise tax team members to ensure accurate completion of tax returns.

Stay updated on legislative and regulatory tax law changes, communicate their implications to management and the tax team, and develop strategies to leverage these changes.

Prepare and review technical tax memoranda.

Liaise with tax authorities to address notices.

Maintain robust control procedures throughout the tax process.

Mentor and train staff on established procedures and policies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Accounting/Tax preferred).
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Public Accounting.
  • Proficient in preparing tax returns for individuals and closely held businesses, including pass-through entities (S Corp and Partnership).
  • Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Solid accounting, analytical, and research skills with a commitment to professional growth.
  • Capable of conveying essential information to partners, managers, and clients.
  • Willingness to collaborate with a team and handle administrative tasks as needed.
Reliable transportation is necessary for in-person work multiple days a week.

Preferred Qualifications:

- CPA License or Candidate
- Familiarity with QuickBooks
- Experience with high-net-worth individuals and multi-state tax returns
- Knowledge of preparing exempt organization tax returns.
