Waste Management is a leading provider of waste and environmental services in North America, serving millions of customers through various operations. They are currently seeking a Senior Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee the Maintenance Department at their recycling facility.

About the Role

  • Responsible for planning, directing, and controlling maintenance efforts to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Manage a preventative maintenance program and oversee equipment and facility maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks and inspections to identify areas for safety and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement a maintenance organization structure and manage departmental financials to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Supervise a team of maintenance professionals and oversee transportation equipment maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with relevant work experience in engineering or maintenance.
  • 7 years of experience in maintenance operations, with a strong background in maintenance repairs, welding, motors, pumps, and other related equipment.
  • Proficiency in computer-based software and budget management to ensure accurate financial reporting and resource allocation.

Work Environment

  • Office setting and/or plant environment with occasional exposure to occupational risks and elements.
  • Physical effort required to handle objects weighing less than 30 pounds.
