Senior Laboratory Technician

Position Overview:

As a Senior Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment while overseeing experiments and documenting results meticulously. Your role will involve performing analyses utilizing a variety of methodologies and drawing conclusions based on your observations.

Key Duties:

  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment including HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) and Gas Chromatography (GC).
  • Conduct moisture/water content assessments (MOWACO) and titration (TITRAB and TITR) evaluations.
  • Execute wet chemistry methods and other laboratory assessments.
  • Document experimental data, compute results, and uphold precise laboratory records.
  • Adhere to established protocols and ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, FDA, RCRA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Effectively communicate findings and utilize computer applications for data management and analysis.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in fundamental laboratory techniques including MOWACO, TITRAB, TITR, WECHOT, HPLC, and GC is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel and SAP.
  • Excellent communication abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to follow detailed instructions and maintain comprehensive records.

Educational Background:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related discipline.

Desirable but Not Mandatory Skills:

  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and analytical techniques.
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulations (GMP, GLP, FDA, RCRA, OSHA) may be beneficial.
