Job Title:

Postdoctoral Researcher in Fibroblast Biology

Job Summary:

A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Huocong Huang at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center to investigate the role of fibroblasts in cancer.

Research Objectives:

  • Understand the immune-regulating mechanisms of fibroblasts
  • Identify novel signaling pathways that reverse the cell fate of cancer-associated fibroblasts
  • Develop novel therapeutic strategies that target cancer-associated fibroblasts in primary tumor and metastasis

Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a recent Ph.D. or M.D., Ph.D. degree. Experience in cancer biology, immunology, molecular biology, developmental biology, and bioinformatics resulting in publications in high-profile journals is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in vivo and in vitro experiments to investigate the biology of fibroblasts
  • Employ mouse genetics, lineage tracing techniques, single-cell multiomics, and spatial transcriptomics to understand fibroblast biology
  • Collaborate with the research team to develop novel therapeutic strategies
