Responsibilities:

* Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of the physician

* Ensure patient well-being and provide a positive, supportive environment

* Provide best-in-class medical assisting service to patients

* Drive efficient patient flow: update patient status, room patients, perform Patient Verification process, obtain and document vital signs, take patient photos, and turnover patient rooms

* Assist physician and RVTs in surgical procedures

* Ensure procedure rooms are sterile and properly supplied

* Uphold superior standards of care outlined by United Vein & Vascular Centers

* Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications:

* Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a patient care setting

* Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (AHA) or the ability to obtain within 60 days

* Completion of a medical assistant program preferred

* CMA or RMA credential preferred

* Excellent verbal and written communication

* Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records

* Familiar with medical terminology

* Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards
