Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you'll provide administrative support to facilitate efficient operations within our medical facilities. Your role will involve assisting physicians, advanced practice providers, and patients with tasks related to patient care coordination, organization, and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams and treatment by recording vital signs, conducting patient interviews, and documenting basic medical histories.
- Triage patients based on urgency and scheduling requirements.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures, such as administering vaccinations, conducting drug and alcohol tests, giving injections, performing EKGs, and collecting blood samples.
- Maintain and restock supplies; ensure treatment rooms and medical instruments are sanitized and prepared.
- Perform front office tasks as necessary, including welcoming patients, managing check-in and check-out processes, handling phone calls, and patient scheduling.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of medical records and updates to insurance reports.
- Coordinate hospital admissions and laboratory services as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities.
- Socially perceptive and service-oriented.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
