Job Summary

ECPI University is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Assistance Advisor to join our team. As a Financial Assistance Advisor, you will be responsible for providing financial aid support and advising services to both incoming and existing students. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives and help them achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise students on financial aid eligibility, application procedures, and financial assistance programs.
  • Collect and analyze financial data to determine financial aid eligibility and make awards within federal, donor, and institutional guidelines.
  • Evaluate unusual or mitigating circumstance documentation and make adjustments to costs, contribution, need, or dependency status as exceptions to the prescribed process.
  • Answer questions and inquiries from students, parents, or guardians regarding financial aid programs and eligibility.
  • Analyze system-generated reports to verify continued compliance and eligibility of students receiving aid under federal and institutional guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in CampusVue Student database, preferred.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to quickly master new methodologies, technologies, and systems.
