JDP is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist for one of our manufacturing clients.*MUST HAVE CHEMICAL INDUISTRY EXPERIENCE*Under the supervision of the General Manager, the role involves researching, analyzing, and forecasting buying trends, markets, styles, and products.Key Responsibilities:Identify potential vendors through various methods.Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure competitive rates and quality.Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure product standards.Maintain detailed records of vendor agreements and communications.Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Ensure timely product delivery to meet customer commitments.Review material lists and address shortages.Resolve discrepancies in receiving and supplier invoices.Maintain accurate product information in the ERP system.Prepare reports on sourcing activities and vendor performance.Maintain continuous communication with vendors regarding order status.Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.Qualifications:2-4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain managementSkills/Requirements:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Knowledge of industry vendors, customers, and competitors.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
