Key Responsibilities:
Assist store management in overseeing and facilitating daily store operations.
Act as the acting Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Support personnel management during shifts and address customer service challenges as they arise.
Provide direction, guidance, and training to all store associates as necessary.Ensure that store conditions consistently meet established standards.
Assist in maintaining adequate staffing levels to meet business demands, when requested.
Serve as the sales and customer service leader in the absence of management.
Welcome and assist customers in a manner that sets a positive example for other staff.
Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant legislation by all team members.
Address customer complaints as they occur, escalating to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations during shifts.
Meet sales targets and store-level KPIs.
Encourage employees on shift to actively pursue sales objectives.
Oversee inventory management and be accountable for inventory processes during shifts.
Qualifications:
Valid Selling It Right certification is required for employment in a retail cannabis environment.
A clean Criminal Background Check must be provided prior to the start date.
Completion of high school and vocational or technical training is required.
Demonstrated sales and service orientation is essential.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the retail sector is required, with a preference for the cannabis industry.
Strong time management and prioritization skills are necessary.
Proven ability to train and motivate team members is required.
Ability to monitor and lead by example is essential.
Basic office administration skills are necessary.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required.
Effective teamwork skills are crucial.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals at all organizational levels.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are essential.
A well-defined sense of diplomacy is necessary.
Excellent teamwork and team-building abilities are required.
Availability for shift work at any time according to business needs is essential.
