Job Responsibilities
AECOM is looking for a Water Resources Engineer to join our Sacramento, California office, focusing on various tasks including:
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling utilizing various software tools.
- Designing water resource systems using Autodesk Civil3D.
- Preparing and evaluating working drawings, plans, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other deliverables.
- Conducting independent assignments, reviewing the technical work of peers, and mentoring junior staff.
- Composing technical reports and memoranda.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in California or the ability to obtain one within the first six months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Eight (8) or more years of experience in water resource management.
- Familiarity with software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, SRH-2D, xpSWMM, HydroCAD, ArcGIS, and CADD.
