Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at InterCare Health Network.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and support to our healthcare team. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, and assist healthcare providers as needed.
  • Perform a wide range of clinical tasks, including vital signs, injections, and lab tests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and ensure confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in pre-visit planning and daily huddles to review patient schedules and enhance patient flow.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certificate or associate's degree in medical assisting or related field preferred.
  • Professional certification in medical assisting (e.g. CMA, RMA) required within 6 months of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 2 months of employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
