This is an exciting opportunity to join Simpson Strong-Tie as a key member of our sales team. As an Associate Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in the Hawaii territory, working closely with customers, and contributing to the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities- Drive demand and grow sales of all Simpson product lines in the defined marketplace, including being active on job sites, prospecting, conducting sales calls, identifying opportunities, and providing presentations and hands-on demonstrations.
- Analyze industry and market needs, develop strategies, forecast territory demand, and provide support as needed by the customer and/or company.
- Generate and maintain specifications for single-family and multi-family projects.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with customers, as well as managing supply chain relationships with channel partners.
- Provide ongoing training sessions, product demos, and technical support, and be a problem solver for customers.
- Promote Simpson Strong-Tie as an industry partner and potential employer, participate in tradeshows, association meetings, and various committees and/or causes, and provide educational opportunities in classroom settings throughout the territory.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of industry experience and/or training, familiar with residential construction practices and distribution channels.
- Strong working knowledge of project workflow from architect/engineer to contractor.
- Sales and account management experience with a proven track record of sales/profit growth preferred.
- Technical skills, including ability to gain product knowledge and work with specialists to provide support as needed.
- Presentation skills, including ability to develop and present captivating presentations and incorporate sales skills to step a prospect through a story.
- Creative and innovative thinking, including ability to exhibit creativity and innovation when contributing to organizational and individual objectives.

This job operates in both a professional office environment, customer sites, and outdoor construction job sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. The employee occasionally works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level may be loud at times.
Travel RequirementsThis job requires 25% outside of territory domestic travel.
