Senior Molding Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Molding Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our Danvers Molding Operations department, you will be responsible for implementing innovations for continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives, as well as supporting the maintenance of business activities.
Key Responsibilities- Design molding manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for molding assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
- Design the arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
- Validate molding components used to manufacture sub-assemblies.
- Design the sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
- Inspect the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
- Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure processes, parts drawings, and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of molding process/project engineering experience, or advanced degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of molding process/project engineering experience.
- Technical background in Plastics Machinery and/or processing.
- Experience with catheter manufacturing, extrusion, and injection molding processes.
- MS in Plastics Engineering.
- Experience in a medical device setting.
- 2-5 years' experience in an ISO13485/GMP environment.
- Six Sigma, Constraint Management, and Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Documented success rate of new product launch contributions and/or completed capital projects managed on time and on budget.
- Proven success in Project Management.
- Capacity modeling.
- Team dynamic skills (communication, accountability, decision-making, feedback, meeting management, managing conflict).
- DOE, SPC, FMEA, GMP, QSR.
- Strong statistical skills.
- Knowledge of statistical software (Minitab).
- Technical writing skills.
- Verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $97,600.00 - $146,400.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
