Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bakery Department Leader to join our team at City Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience through exceptional service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and achieving sales and profit goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Department Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the bakery department, including inventory management, scheduling, and training of associates.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all bakery products meet quality and safety standards, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of associates to achieve sales and profit goals, and provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with store management, associates, and customers to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or retail environment, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic math skills.
