Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations, ensure accuracy in financial records, and deliver timely reports for a diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of 3-6 bookkeepers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Operational Oversight: Review the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions processed by team members, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level client inquiries, offering expertise and strategic advice on bookkeeping-related matters.
  • Quality Control & Process Improvement: Maintain high standards for financial accuracy and compliance with legal and practice policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of bookkeeping experience, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a tax or accounting firm.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and compliance.
  • Knowledge of US tax laws and regulations.
  • Certification in bookkeeping or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Certified User).
