Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Proton Radiation Physicist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our Radiation Oncology department, you will be responsible for providing expert medical physics services and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of proton radiation therapy to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and interpret medical radiation treatment prescriptions
  • Collaborate with medical providers to design and modify effective radiation treatments for patients
  • Oversee and monitor treatment plans developed by Dosimetrists
  • Participate in the development and execution of equipment monitoring, calibration, and safety surveys
  • Provide technical assistance in the development of treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy
  • Monitor patients and maintain established policies, procedures, objectives, quality measurement, and safety
  • Perform clinical research as required
Requirements
  • Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology
  • 2+ years of post-residency experience in Therapy Medical Physics
  • Meets standards and competencies of the job as assigned and required
  • Maintains board certification by the American Board of Radiology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with Proton Radiotherapy
Working Conditions

This position is for supporting the Proton Therapy operations and requires a Rotating Shift schedule.
