Job Description

Job Summary:

The Customer Service and Sales Representative is a key member of our team at Shape Technologies Group, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth. This role requires a unique blend of customer service, sales, and communication skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with our customers and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service through timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries, either via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Process customer transactions, including orders, quotes, and returns, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless communication with customers and internal teams.
  • Act as the internal 'voice of the customer,' communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded.
  • Present price, credit, and terms to customers in accordance with standard procedures, while maintaining a strong understanding of our products and services.
  • Proactively contact customers to increase revenue, promote complementary products, and gather feedback to improve our offerings.
  • Update and maintain our CRM database with relevant account and contact information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Stay up-to-date with new product descriptions, participate in educational opportunities, and engage with customers to expand knowledge and expertise.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Manager and Customer Service Team to share best practices, coordinate efforts, and drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Ability to build rapport with customers quickly and understand their needs, adapting communication tactics accordingly.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn about waterjet products, services, and applications, with the ability to transfer that knowledge to customers in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Ability to multitask and self-drive to contribute to the team's success.
  • Positive, action-oriented, and outgoing personality, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant customer service and/or sales experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite applications and Shopify.
