We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Specialist, Senior to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of electrical engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and technicians
- Develop and implement electrical engineering designs and solutions
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to identify electrical system deficiencies
- Develop and implement electrical system upgrades and renovations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical system compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Develop and maintain electrical system documentation and records
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal stakeholders
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a specialized, high-assigned field, including high voltage power, mechanical systems, fire protection, or construction
- Experience with the implementation or execution of design documents
- Experience reviewing design documentation and identifying deficiencies, inaccuracies, and noncompliance issues with the design intent
- Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs)
- Ability to evaluate conditions and draft engineering memos that provide sound engineering guidance consistent with industry best practices and all Federal, State, and Local codes
- Ability to work with minimal oversight
- Ability to review and perform engineering calculations
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
- Experience managing project design or construction efforts, including schedule, funding, and day-to-day project oversight
- Experience with MAXIMO
- Experience with new and existing building systems, site surveys, and calculations
- Knowledge of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, International Electrical Testing Association, National Electrical Code, and pertinent NFPA publications related to electrical systems
- Knowledge of the CAD systems, AutoCAD, or REVIT
- Ability to oversee and coordinate activities with the trade shops, including prioritization of work, review of ongoing projects, and inspection of installed equipment
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Registration
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
