Job Summary

The Chief Vendor Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the enterprise-wide Vendor Management program at BluPeak Credit Union, focusing on procurement and cost analysis, vendor onboarding, due diligence, risk assessment, contract management, ongoing monitoring, and vendor offboarding. This position is responsible for developing comprehensive analyses of vendor spend data from multiple sources and internal systems to enhance visibility into vendor costs and inform business strategies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed analysis of vendor spend data using multiple sources and internal systems.
  • Evaluate and analyze key vendor metrics to ensure safe and sound vendor engagements that comply with regulatory requirements and service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with finance and risk management staff to mitigate pricing and other risks associated with vendor contracts.
  • Develop and maintain third-party risk reporting and prepare materials for the Vendor Oversight Committee.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure timely and accurate reviews of SOC reports.

Requirements

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably with three to five years of related experience in a financial institution. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience working with GRC software programs and MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in a financial institution, preferably in vendor management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Estimated Salary Range
$67,000 - $90,000 per year.
