Front Office Supervisor Job Description

At M&R Hotel Management, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Supervisor to join our team. As a Front Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Service: Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Check-in and Check-out: Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner, ensuring all necessary information is collected and processed accurately.
  • Mail and Messages: Handle guest mail and messages per established procedures, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
  • Knowledge and Training: Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, amenities, and selling strategies, and provide training and guidance to GSRs as needed.
  • Reservations and Switchboard: Take reservation requests efficiently, answer switchboard calls in accordance with standards of proper telephone etiquette, and block rooms and handle special requests as needed.
  • Room Availability and Yield Management: Monitor room availability and offer AGM and GM assistance in yield management and restrictions.
  • Safe Deposits and Cash Handling: Handle safe deposits by guests per established procedures, ensure all credit cards, cash, and change funds are balanced throughout each shift, and prepare daily deposits and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the lobby and desk area clean and presentable, clean guestrooms to standards, and clean the back office area as requested by management.
  • Communication and Reporting: Communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information in the pass-on log, inform management of any guest or systems-related complaints or problems, and keep maintenance informed of all maintenance needs.
  • Uniform and Appearance: Wear proper uniform and nametag at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance.

Requirements: Must be able to answer questions that GSRs may have, cover any call-off shift as per proper chain of command, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
