Oral Surgery Assistant Job Description

As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our team of oral surgeons in delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting with surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and documenting patient information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist oral surgeons with surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a sterile environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, addressing their needs and concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.

Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification (or completed within 1 month of hire).
  • Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities, demonstrating good judgment and critical thinking.
  • Passion for ensuring safety and exceptional attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulousness.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and superior listening skills, especially in emergency scenarios.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous oral surgery experience is beneficial.
  • DAANCE certification is desirable.
  • Licensed dental assistant status is preferred.
  • Radiology certification is a plus.
