About the Role

As an Infant Teacher with Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc., you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and their families. Our Early Head Start Program is dedicated to providing high-quality education, childcare, and family support services to eligible families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging activities to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of infants and toddlers.
  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans for a classroom of 8 infants (6 weeks – 20 months).
  • Collaborate with a co-teacher and receive support throughout the day from an aide.
  • Support families through regular communication and documentation of child routines using Procare Software and Remind messaging.
  • Enhance language development of infants and toddlers through the use of LENA (Language ENvironment Analysis) technology.
Requirements
  • CDA Certification or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education (Required)
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Psychology (Preferred)
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged.
