About the Role: As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing activities to promote the development of infants and toddlers in our Danbury Early Learning Programs. Your role will involve creating weekly lesson plans for a classroom of 8 infants or 8 toddlers, supporting your students and families, and collaborating with a team of educators and specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement weekly lesson plans for a classroom of 8 infants or 8 toddlers
- Support students and families through regular communication and collaboration with a co-teacher, classroom aid, and Family Advocate
- Document observations and student progress using Teaching Strategies Gold and Creative Curriculum
- Enhance language development through the use of LENA technology
- Communicate child routines with parents through Procare Software and Remind messaging
Requirements:
- CDA Certification or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education (Required)
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Psychology (Preferred)
- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19, or be willing to get vaccinated prior to start (Required)
- Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged
