Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

As a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor at Troon Golf, you will be responsible for directing and participating in the construction and maintenance of the grounds, as well as performing related tasks as required. This includes designing landscape plans for facility grounds and implementing and maintaining those plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversees the care and maintenance of turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, and trees on facility grounds, including pruning, trimming, root feeding, and pest control.
Directs and assists staff on planting new vegetation, replacing and spraying trees and shrubs, and tending to high-stress areas, especially during summer months.
Develops detailed annual plans for seasonal rotation of plants, flowers, etc., in facility's various landscaped areas and flowerbeds, resulting in fresh, eye-catching, and pleasant flower and plant displays.
Stays attuned with current fertilizer and pesticide application and participates in application of fertilizers and pesticides.
Oversees preparation of soil plant beds, established by seed or transplants, and maintains annual perennial flowers in aesthetically pleasing arrangements.
Oversees operation of mechanical and power equipment utilized in maintenance of ornamental plants and trees.
Coordinates snow removal (where applicable).
Assists Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Assists in management of department members, including Landscapers and Foreman.
Assures effective orientation and training are given to each new associate and assists in developing ongoing training programs.
Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.
Requirements:
Associate's degree (AA); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver's License, Pesticide Application License
