Purchasing/Logistics Coordinator Job Description

At EVAPCO Dry Cooling, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing/Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to our purchasing and logistics activities, ensuring seamless execution of contracts and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with suppliers and freight forwarders to negotiate quotes, compile bid tabs, and verify accuracy and competitiveness of bids.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, process invoices, and maintain records of quotations, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Resolve supplier-related problems regarding specifications, timing, quality, quantity, and delivery.
  • Prepare shipping documents and provide shipping instructions to freight forwarders and suppliers.
  • Monitor shipment progress and facilitate the resolution of problems or disputes.
  • Develop and maintain a database of procurement and logistics activities on commodities and services purchased.

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field (High School Diploma or equivalent required).
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Purchasing and Logistics, preferably in the Industrial, Power, and Energy Sector.
