Job Summary

Mi Jack is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical and hydraulic systems to support our production schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble sub-assemblies and/or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
  • Perform on-line testing and inspection activities to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Clean and prepare units for next operation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Comply with all safety and hazardous material procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with all requirements of our Quality System in accordance with ISO9001.
  • Initiate Engineering Change Requests to improve quality, reduce cycle times, and/or correct nonconformities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
  • Perform other job tasks as requested by management.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical or Hydraulic Assembler or Weld Fabricator.
  • Experience performing mechanical and hydraulic assemblies.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic assemblies and testing.
  • Ability to recognize all colors in a normal spectrum.
  • Basic knowledge of SPC fundamentals.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable operating and documentation procedures and material flow.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
Working Conditions

This is a production classification and employees work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment, and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push, and pull. Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
