Job Summary

The Security Solutions Engineer will work as a customer-facing security expert, taking a consultative approach to security projects and having a holistic understanding of how security technology enables business.

This role will also develop and deliver new security services offerings to address customer requests and opportunities.

This position is a remote position that may require reporting to the office in Austin, Texas, as required for business needs and determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities
  • Leading client engagements and assessments, including scoping, following an industry-standard methodology, and reporting findings.
  • Delivering detailed reports and leading debriefing calls with clients to discuss vulnerabilities discovered during engagements, as well as offering remediation and mitigation options.
  • Learning company security services offerings and portfolio by self-study, partner training, and company-sponsored training.
  • Collaborating with multiple layers of contacts within an organization, including CIO, CSO, CISO, Security Directors, and Security Admin, to strengthen our overall customer relationship and better understand the goals and objectives they are trying to achieve.
  • Educating sales teams on Cyber Security solution selling and key technologies through 1x1 training, team training, and company training.
  • Staying current on new technology, trends, and market behavior by studying market trends and the industry landscape.
  • Engaging in self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job-related knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in a technical cybersecurity role.
  • 3+ years' experience in Security Pre-Sales Consulting.
Required Skills
  • Ability to design security infrastructure including firewalls, endpoint, email, intrusion prevention/detection, identity, and event logging.
  • General understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, CIS.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills are critical.
  • Possess a real passion for technology.
  • Expert technical knowledge of Security Solutions.
Certifications Required
  • Preferred: CISSP, Relevant GIAC Cert, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security or Relevant Professional certifications in Cyber Security OEMs.
Unique Requirements

Travel to client locations required up to 20% for customer meetings, internal meetings or engagements, travel to customer or partner sites, conferences, and SHI offices.

Extended hours are required to complete some special projects.
