Job Summary:

The Accounting Services Specialist will assist with the processing of accounts payable invoice payments, childcare payments, and employee expense reimbursements. This role will also provide general support to Accounting Operations and be responsible for mailing all check payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide filing and mailing services
  • Assist with the Accounts Payable check runs to ensure they are completed weekly on schedule
  • Enter AP and PO vouchers and review invoice backup for reasonableness and necessity
  • Research discrepancies, match invoice amounts with payment requests
  • Review requests for appropriate signatures and authorization
  • Process invoices, purchase requests, PAMs, POs, and travel reimbursements in the accounting system
  • Process monthly postage transactions, print AP checks, and EFT advices
  • Attach Employee Expense Reimbursement documentation to imported vouchers
  • Enter Zero AP Vouchers, PAMs, and attach backup to vouchers
  • Assist with mailing AR invoices and 1099s

Requirements:

This role requires knowledge of a specific vocation, administrative, or technical nature that may be obtained with six months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency and up to 1 year related experience.
