Position Title:
Technical Projects Supervisor

JOB OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for orchestrating, managing, and guiding technology-related projects from conception to final execution. The individual will oversee the planning, organization, execution, and successful completion of designated projects. This includes collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, establishing timelines, updating supervisors on project status, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints, and managing multiple project components concurrently. The supervisor will communicate effectively, make informed decisions, and monitor project progress to ensure alignment with established timelines and objectives. The role encompasses comprehensive management of project dimensions including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and resources. Additionally, the supervisor will stay informed about industry standards and regulatory changes relevant to their responsibilities.

WORK SCHEDULE
Depending on project requirements, the following additional work hours may be necessary:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in defining project objectives and deliverables; outlines project tasks and resource needs.
  • Develops comprehensive project plans; creates both long-term and short-term strategies, establishing milestones.
  • Allocates resources and directs workflow among team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Assembles and coordinates project teams, delegates tasks, ensures timely task completion, and provides guidance and support.
  • Plans and organizes project timelines; adjusts schedules and targets as necessary. Monitors project performance to assess the achievement of both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Conducts project evaluations and assessments to ensure quality assurance.
  • Identifies, communicates, and manages potential project risks.
  • Continuously monitors and reports on project progress to stakeholders. Prepares reports detailing project status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Implements and manages project modifications to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Contributes significantly within the Project Management Office (PMO) to enhance the organization's project management capabilities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in information systems, business, or a related field from an accredited institution required;
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Experience
  • Five (5) years of proven project management experience, preferably in an educational setting required; and
  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity required;
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Proficiency in business technology applications (e.g., Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
Licenses and Certifications
Employees must maintain active licenses, certifications, and enrollment as a condition of employment.
  • Possession or eligibility for Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred.
  • Possession or eligibility for a Class C Non-Commercial Driver's License issued by the state of residence required; and
  • Proof of a clean driving record required.
  • Access to reliable transportation is necessary.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
  • Driving is required to conduct legitimate Board business within the scope of this position.
  • Personal vehicle required.
