Job Overview

Position: Senior General Ledger Accountant

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you will report directly to the Accounting Manager and have the opportunity to engage with the executive leadership team. This role involves the reconciliation of cash accounts, detailed analysis of general ledger accounts, and support during the month-end closing process. The ideal candidate is eager to expand their knowledge across various accounting functions and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounting Manager in the month-end closing activities.
  • Conduct reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts.
  • Execute cash reconciliations and prepare relevant reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Controller on process enhancements, internal controls, and documentation.
  • Participate in the Annual Audit and liaise with external auditing firms.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounting or auditing, either in public or corporate settings.
  • Relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and SOX compliance is highly beneficial.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with professionals at all levels, both in-person and remotely.

Work Environment:

This position requires three days of in-office work, with the flexibility to work from home for two days. There may be occasions where additional in-office presence is necessary.

Compensation:
A competitive compensation package is available, including a base salary, a 10% bonus, medical, dental, and vision benefits, a robust 401K plan, profit sharing, tuition assistance, vacation time, and paid holidays.
