In this role, you will operate under general supervision, managing and executing the coding of clinical documentation across at least one specialty area. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our physicians, practice management team, and fellow coders, providing valuable feedback and guidance on documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and adhere to the Compliance Program of Oklahoma Cancer Specialists Management Company, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers to enhance the quality and completeness of care documentation.
  • Utilize various electronic medical record systems proficiently, with a preference for experience in OncoEMR, Mosaiq, EMA EMR systems, and G4 Studio practice management systems.
  • Stay informed on coding guidelines and relevant federal regulations by utilizing current CPT, HCPCS Level II, and ICD-10CM materials.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, ensuring the successful completion of responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a high level of customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in collaboration with physicians to enhance documentation quality and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and oncology is highly desired.
  • Experience with Encoder Pro or AAPC Coder is preferred.
