Job Overview

Position: Medical Assistant

Company: Trinity Employment Specialists

Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift | Temp to Hire | Starting at $16.50/hour DOE

Key Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a variety of patient care and administrative tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Managing patient care duties such as organizing patient flow, assisting patients with mobility, and preparing them for examinations.
  • Collecting patient histories and vital signs, performing screenings, and assisting healthcare providers with documentation and charting.
  • Handling clerical tasks, including managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, along with a medical assistant diploma from an accredited institution or relevant coursework in medical assisting.

Experience: A minimum of one year of recent experience in a medical environment as a medical assistant, or completion of an internship in a medical office setting.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performing administrative and clinical duties under the supervision of a physician, including scheduling, maintaining records, and assisting with patient examinations.
  • Interviewing patients to gather medical information and recording vital statistics.
  • Preparing treatment areas for patient care and ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Collecting laboratory specimens and preparing them for analysis.
  • Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Managing medication administration and authorizing refills as directed.
