Key Responsibilities
  • Execute Healthcare Support Specialist duties alongside administrative tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and unit manager.
  • Assist with patient care activities, including monitoring vital signs, aiding in patient transport, serving meal trays, providing hygiene assistance, and addressing inquiries within the scope of practice.
  • Support nursing personnel by welcoming patients at the reception, guiding them to the appropriate rooms, providing initial instructions, assisting in the transport of discharged patients, and responding to inquiries within the scope of practice.
  • May serve as the unit's receptionist, assigning patients to rooms, notifying nursing staff of patient arrivals, and preparing patient charts.
  • Order and oversee the use of selected supplies, including office materials, nutritional supplements, and forms, while ensuring the retrieval of patient charts.
  • Assist in maintaining the supply inventory for the unit and contribute to keeping the nursing stations organized and tidy.
Qualifications

Essential Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • Oklahoma Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician certification
