Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and structural analysis of building systems and components, including railing systems, decking, cladding, and exterior wall assemblies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product designs that meet market needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery of design milestones and project goals.
  • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and risk assessments on new and existing products to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of building systems and components design and apply new knowledge to continuously improve product offerings.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. with 5+ years relevant experience, or Minimum of 10 years relevant experience with an MS, OR 15 years of relevant experience with a BS.
  • Strong background in manufacturing environment and transitioning designs to the production environment.
  • Experience with extrusion environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in interfacing with internal (manufacturing, engineering, quality) and external (contractors, vendors) customers.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
