We are seeking a seasoned Principal Mechanical Engineer to advance the design and development of our next-generation mobile robot systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for complex mechanical engineering projects
  • Oversee the design, development, and validation of innovative electromechanical systems
  • Mentor a high-performing engineering team
  • Lead complex problem-solving efforts, identifying innovative solutions and overcoming technical challenges
  • Foster strong partnerships with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams
  • Assist in building program plans and schedules to meet project milestones
  • Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and design concepts
  • Actively participate in prototyping, building, testing, and iterating on designs
  • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), detailed drawings and specifications per ANSI Y14.5 standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 12 years of relevant industry experience
  • Proven track record of bringing complex mechanical engineering projects from concept to commercialization
  • Deep expertise in electromechanical systems design, including component sizing, material selection, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and intermediate experience with FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation or Ansys)
  • Expertise in creating detailed dimensional drawings per ANSI Y14.5 standards using GD&T
  • Knowledge of robotics, automation, and related industry standards
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
