About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at the University of Southern Mississippi. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a critical role in facilitating students' achievement of course objectives and preparing them to succeed in our undergraduate and graduate programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Deliver online and/or face-to-face courses, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Course Preparation: Develop and submit syllabi, grades, and other required course documentation in a timely manner.
  • Student Communication: Clearly communicate course requirements and expectations to students.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the department.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology or a related field.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree: Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology.
  • Licensure: Licensure (master's or doctoral level) may be required for some positions.
  • Teaching Experience: Experience teaching, mentoring, and service at the university level, as well as experience with online course delivery and instruction.
  • Professional Experience: Professional experience in mental health and/or psychological research.
  • Canvas Experience: Experience with Canvas technology is preferred.
