Adjunct Instructor in French

The School of Social Science and Global Studies at the University of Southern Mississippi is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor to teach lower-level French language courses either online or face-to-face. The primary responsibility of this position will be teaching a one-semester beginning or intermediate French course.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Teach French classes as needed, utilizing effective teaching methods and materials to engage students and promote language acquisition.
- Attend program meetings as determined by the program coordinator, ensuring collaboration and communication with colleagues.
- Follow all university, college, and school policies regarding teaching practices and job performance, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Be responsive to communication from students, staff, and administration, providing timely and effective support and guidance.
- Hold regular office hours, making yourself available to students and colleagues for consultation and discussion.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and growth of the department and institution.
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- 18 graduate hours of French
- Master's in a related field
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Master's degree in French
- Experience with online teaching and course design
- LMS course design experience
