About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer/Civil Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

You will gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures, work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests, and propose an approach to solving new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Proposes an approach to solving new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results.
  • Guides entry-level engineers.
  • Performs work following agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete the primary design elements for engineering works.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within 2 years of employment.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Experience and familiarity with the following programs: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, AutoCAD Civil3D or ArcGIS.
