RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated MRI Imaging Specialist to enhance our team. This role includes a $3,000 relocation or sign-on bonus.

As an MRI Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to operate MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. You will adopt a patient-centric approach, delivering MRI services that adhere to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service.

Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity and reassurance. You will support them through this often challenging experience by providing clear explanations of the procedures and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, with weekend rotations required (no on-call duties).


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Patient MRI Imaging: Conduct thorough screenings of patients prior to examinations, utilizing two identifiers to confirm patient identity and procedure.
  • Patient Preparation: Clearly explain MRI procedures to patients, ensuring they are comfortably positioned for optimal imaging.
  • Procedure Execution: Perform both routine and advanced MRI scans on designated body areas, aiding physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses with minimal supervision and repeat scans.
  • Parameter Adjustment: Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to ensure high-quality imaging.
  • Collaboration: Maintain positive working relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Compliance: Follow physician directives precisely and adhere to safety regulations to protect yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Record Maintenance: Accurately document patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Work Area Management: Keep a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety for patients and staff.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Uphold all HIPAA guidelines diligently.

Department Support: Assist in maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and monitor medical supply inventory, requesting supplies as needed. Participate in training new team members by sharing your expertise.


Qualifications:
  • Required: ARMRIT or ARRT registered technologist, in good standing.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited radiography program.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state, if required.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Preferred: Certification in an imaging specialty.
