Job Overview

Significant relocation or sign-on bonus available for this position. RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to enhance our service delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluations. Your focus will be on patient care, ensuring that MRI services are provided with professionalism and outstanding customer service. Patients often arrive at our facilities seeking clarity, and you will support them through this process by explaining the steps involved and addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have regarding the examination procedures.

This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, including weekend rotations (no on-call duties). Part-time options are also available, offering 30-39 hours per week, with eligibility for benefits. Training in MRI will be provided as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicates effectively with patients to prepare them for MRI procedures, detailing the process and positioning them appropriately for optimal imaging.
  • Executes both routine and advanced MRI procedures on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses or injuries, while minimizing the need for repeat scans and providing support throughout the procedure.
  • Adjusts MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve the best results.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physicians' orders and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintains MRI equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Complies with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assists in keeping the imaging protocol manual up to date and supports software upgrades.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies and requests replenishments as needed.
  • Participates in the training of new staff, offering resources and technical knowledge as required.
