Job Overview

Relocation or sign-on bonus of $3,000 available for this position. RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to enhance our service delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluations. By prioritizing patient care, you will ensure that MRI services are delivered in accordance with professional standards while providing exceptional customer service. Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity, and you will support them through this sometimes challenging experience by effectively communicating the steps involved and addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding the examination process.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, including weekend rotations (no on-call duties). Part-time opportunities are also available, offering 30-39 hours per week, with eligibility for benefits. Training in MRI is provided for suitable candidates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to confirm accuracy.
  • Communicates and prepares patients for the MRI procedures, detailing the process and positioning them appropriately for optimal imaging.
  • Executes routine and advanced MRI procedures on specified body areas for diagnostic purposes, ensuring minimal supervision and repeat scans, while providing ongoing support to patients throughout the procedure.
  • Adjusts MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve high-quality images.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physicians' directives and complies with safety regulations to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensures a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety for patients and staff.
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and meets accreditation standards.
  • Ensures all equipment is functioning properly; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use.
  • Complies with all HIPAA regulations.

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assists in keeping the imaging protocol manual updated and facilitates software upgrades.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies and requests replenishments as needed.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff, offering resources and technical guidance as required.
